Good morning- Smoke from a toaster oven set off a smoke alarm in a classroom at the elementary school this morning. There is no active fire and all students are safe and accounted for. Our new fire alarm system worked exactly as it is intended and notified emergency management. Students have returned to class.

Today during a lesson on how to be "candle lighters" and the importance of how impactful our words are. 7th graders engaged in a speed talking activity where they shared " flames" good things students say and "burns" things that burn out their flames. Finally they completed an activity of how they can light up this Holiday season with kindness.
